For over 36 years, I have designed and coordinated projects in areas as diverse as digital technology, environment, training, advocacy, sports and inclusive education.
Career timeline
Each step of this journey has contributed to building the expertise I now put at the service of inclusion.
Training at the Rehabilitation Institute for the Blind (RIB) in Buea
Training in braille (English and French), orientation and mobility, crafts, basketry, livestock and agriculture. Meeting with Martin Luther, future co-founder of CJARC.
Creation of COJARY (Cooperative of Rehabilitated Young Blind People)
With Martin Luther, we created COJARY which became CJARC in 1988 — the starting point of all associative commitment.
Construction of CJARC headquarters
Construction of CJARC headquarters, inaugurated by Mrs. Chantal Biya.
NGO recognition
Institutional strengthening of CJARC and recognition as an NGO.
Creation of the CJARC Functional Literacy Center
Dedicated space for basic education and personal development of blind and visually impaired people. Functional literacy program oriented towards daily needs: braille, mathematics, orientation, communication, assistive technology.
Creation of Louis Braille School
Specialized school attached to CJARC, dedicated to the inclusive education of blind and visually impaired children. Teaching in line with the official Cameroonian curriculum with adapted methods and tools (braille, tactile materials, etc.).
Creation of ENIEG Louis Braille
Creation of the Louis Braille Teacher Training College (ENIEG), to train specialized teachers.
Adoption of legal framework
Local adoption of the legal framework for the protection of persons with disabilities.
Extension of Louis Braille School
Extension of the Louis Braille Bilingual Inclusive Primary School: construction of 15 classrooms and accommodation spaces.
PAFA Project
Functional Literacy Project for the Blind (PAFA), with the National Literacy Program, to strengthen the socio-professional integration of visually impaired people.
Electoral accessibility
Transcription of ballot papers into braille for Cameroonian elections. Cameroon becomes the first country to design braille ballot papers.
Inclusive multimedia center
Inclusive multimedia center at CJARC, for education, training and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
Construction of CENI
Construction of the National Center for Inclusion (CENI), dedicated to training and support around disability.
Climate awareness
Awareness raising of youth and persons with disabilities in Yaoundé on climate change adaptation and environmental preservation.
Access to information in health crisis
Strengthening access to information during health crisis (opendata.cm).
Accessibility audit and SUPEH platform
Organizational and logistical accessibility audit; creation of SUPEH, a digital platform for geolocated monitoring of persons with disabilities.
Director General of CJARC
Continuing commitment to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in Cameroon and internationally.
Creation of the Coco Bertin Inclusive Vocational Training Institute (IFPICB)
Institute committed to inclusive and quality vocational training, accessible to all, including persons with disabilities. Trades: crafts, IT, agriculture and services. Inclusive pedagogy, accessible infrastructure, competent and caring team.
